Re: Always have Knock Retard I can't say if there is any linear correlation to a physical problem resulting in increased knock under WOT, but the possibility is definitely there, I guess it would depend on what is creating the false knock. You may very well have two separate issues going on...

Re: Always have Knock Retard you also need to consider mechanical sources for the knock, loose torque converter bolts, broken motor mount(s), exhaust clearance issues. etc. etc.... anything physically hitting something connecting directly to the engine can be detected as knock too. :2cents:

Re: Always have Knock Retard it has already been asked, but is the knock even at idle or low power? if its typically showing under boost conditions, I would look at your spark plugs. I always had a couple degrees with AC Delcos, switched to NGKs and never saw knock under the same tune/conditions.
