PTE turbos and their internal wastegates

I am going to buy a PTE 60 from a friend of mine. It has no wastegate(internal). My question is, can you make it internal? I could have sworn I read somewhere that they have internally wastegated DP flanges that you can build your DP on. Is that not correct? Then Ild jsut have to buy the actuator. If anyone can answer this Ild appreciate it. Or would I just have to go external?

Re: PTE turbos and their internal wastegates

with the PTE turbos with the syty housing there is a port built into it. Then the downpipe has the puck to close off the hole and an acuator controls it. So you would need a pte style downpipe to go with that turbo along with an internal gate acuator

Heh, you *just* missed a PTE actuator in the classifieds by a week or so... The puck for the wastegate in integral to the downpipe flange. That is why it is .625" (5/8 of an inch) thick to house everything. You can see some pics of the PTE style downpipes that E-RUE makes here. As mentioned above, you will need a stub with the PTE style flange and the actuator if you want to keep it the way PTE designed it.

Also, I forgot to add, you can get a divorced downpipe to run it in an external configuration. I believe race proven sells those types of downpipes.
