Six-is-Enough
Use to do a little Boost
Finally got around to testing the LS1 rear disc conversion. To refresh everyone refer to this post: http://www.syty.net/forums/showthread.php?t=48364
5 stops back to back. Best stop was 127.9 ft (2nd)with a 135.4 avg and a 140.1 (5th)worst. The pads and discs were cheap ones from O'riellys. With a more aggresive pad(s) I am sure some one could get into the 110 range.
Did a couple of boost launches too. The rear discs held 18 -20 psi with no problem!
Also noticed the rear brakes were much LESS likely to lock up than the drums. I am still using the stock porpotioing valve.
All in all the ABS delete was the best mod for my Sy!!!:2cents:
