My syclone was fine i beat the hell out of it for 2 years and never had a problem\
typhoon has been fine once I fixed all of the "issues" with it the dash is back out because i missed a connector but should be back to daily status till the snow flies

I havent had any major issues but I think a lot of it is taken care of stuff (plus I just ran out of warranty 36011
) but any time I get a minor issue I try to take care of it.
truck had a couple vibrations replace the front drive shaft went away got another replace the tires and it went aways only real issues I have had other than my a/c controls are not working properly.
O yeah just by posting I now know I am going to have catastrophic failure thanks :tup:

My former Ty 1011 (Royal) was bought with 89k, drove from MI down to FL and sold with 125k. Never gave me one issue. Changed the oil, put gas, kept up on plugs/wires and just drove it. It only popped 1 fuse and I had to replace the trans cable due to my own fault of bending it while checking the size of the bolt for the Sy.
No mechanical issues whatsoever.

Ive only put about 6k mi. on my Ty since I bought it. it had approx. 99k mi. on it. All ive done was fix a small oil leak from the turbo oil return pipe, changed my front rims, they were bent when I bought the truck, and the air intake cross over pipe, it too was cracked when I purchased the truck. Aside from that, its been a good truck so far.

Well, I've owned my truck for 3 years now. I've only put about 11k miles on it in that timeframe, but it's still running strong at 146k. When I bought it it needed a new propshaft, but that's it. Granted I've done the normal upgrades to the fuel and spark systems. And I don't have to floor it everywhere I go. I love my truck and I would drive it just about anywhere confidently.

My truck has had no breakages. Just owner inflicted screw up's, that caused small issues like fouled plugs & stuff like that. Mis adjusted TV cables that messed up WOT shifts & stuff like that. If it wasn't for the owner the truck would be perfect.
Maybe Syty's are really reliable vehicles with broken owners?

I drive my typhoon everywhere!...dont beat it, been in a few races, and its been basically a dependable rig. Only thing i have done is a complete tune up, and a starter, and an alternator because of a whirring noise. Once in a while it gets that shaky idle..but later on it smooths out. I think its due to too high of fuel pressure..i dont know, I just live with it. I guess alot of these trucks have idling issues.These trucks are like any other vehicle.You take care of them, and they will take care of you. By the way my typhoon has about 63k on the clock. Some good advice, always run premium.

My old TY never really had any issues. Only thing was the purple wire "click" but other then that nothing. I was constantly going through everything and making sure nothing was wrong though. I think I had more problems everytime I tried to do something aftermarket :rotf: (BOV, Battery relocation, stereo system)

Ive had mine for 2 years, bone stock except for the reliability mods and aside from my trans starting to shift soft (imagine that) Ive had no problems. 119k and drive it damn near everyday. and mine's 21 years old :lol:
btw the trans has never been out

We have owned our Ty since new, and it has over 100,000 miles and is currently doing daily driver duties again. Had minor stuff happen under warranty (including paint). It recently flipped the oil gauge over the stop and the ABS died.
Our Sy was remarkably trouble free for 100,000 plus miles, 50,000 of which saw some considerable racing time. Jeff broke it and it likes jack stands now. ;-)

Other than the usual "My S10 truck sat around for 5 yrs" problems, My '93 ty's been a great eye-catching daily... the v-dub club in my area especially likes to look...
They never expected my "jimmy" to beat their r32's and GTI's :tup:
