i could be wrong but anyhow, they should be a generic item as for it is not a specialty item. ask local parts shop for a jimmy or s10 blazer version. the motor for the wiper is so high up on window that it should make no difference. like i stated could be wrong but it is worth trying and comparing in parking lot. let me know how it works out

To repair the tab is tough. Results in bad things. You have to re solder the tab on and the heat doesn't go well with the glass.
I heard of a guy using the medal tape used on air conditioner duct work. After he stuck it on to the window over the old tab, he took a sowing pin and punched many holes all of the way through to make an electrical connection with the metal on the glass. He said that it worked for him. I don't know for how long.

the shocks are in stock at my dealer for $44 each. i'll post up the part number when i pick them up

i got the shocks this afternoon, yes they have the defroster terminals. ill have pics maybe tomorrow night w/ part numbers

oops yea went ahead and installed them, havent tested function of the defrost. i went and raced the car this weekend so was busy, ill get at least the numbers up. but really all you gotta do is call a gm stealership and tell them what you need. i didnt have to jump through hoops or anything.

www.rockauto.com has them for about $26 each... I have the defroster ones on my truck, although kinda pointless since the wire came off the glass and I never use it anyway :lol:

the part numbers i got are (for left and right defroster shock)

as i said they are installed and connected just like stock
one of my tabs broke off on undoing as well and i had to get out the soldering iron
the part numbers i got are (for left and right defroster shock)

Did a search and I dig up this thread because I need 2 new struts for the rear window, and help finding them. Unfortunatly I dont have the posibility to order at those places mentioned in this thread. Does Summit has any strut that fits. I have found nada at summit but maybe someone has found a strut that fits.
