Power of motor this morning

Decided to take the Syclone to work this morning, first time in fact. Cool 57 degrees, not humide at all.....perfect. First 15 mintes, truck is great, power comes on strong and fast. After 15 minutes or so (I suspect after the motor warmed up) the power comes on less quickly. Almost like the turbo lag is much longer (5x). It's all there but just not as bang, here I am, like normal. Any ideas? Vaccum issue? I had this last time I took the intake tube off and just ran air to the turbo directly but that went away afterI hooked everything up (as is now).

Thanks!!!

If you have stock IC/heatexchanger I would check the coolant level, and if IC pump is working. (make it run all the time)

i bet the outside temp wasn't 57 degrees when the truck started to lose power either.. my ty is a dog on hot days, with the a2w ic or not.

+1 on the fluid in the IC. You vacuum lines shouldn't be an issue since they are all silicone.

Not true, the drive was only 30 minutes.

Vince,

If you have datamaster check out how much your intake temps climb and how fast.. Your IC maybe like others suggested alittle low or possibly the ic pump isn't working or isn't hot wired. If it's not hot wired then it comes on when the stock chip says so which is something crazy like 200 or something. Hot wire it and make sure your fluids are good.. if you do allot of highway driving the egr system kicks in allot and on mine used to instantly jump my intake temps up by 35 to 40 then continually raise them until there something stupid like 140 to 170 which is why I disabled that. Just some ideas to shoot around

I know when I owned the truck that I never had any issues with IAT's. I don't think I ever saw them above 160*

Likely the fluid level, I'll check here in a bit.

Re: Power of motor this morning

IC was about 5oz low on coolant. That enough to cause heat soak?

Re: Power of motor this morning

My :2cents: on the IC is you have to make sure: a) the pump is running all the time and, b) coolant is, in fact, circulating. In other words you don't have an airlock or there's not something wrong with the pump.

Has the truck been converted from the the stock metal IC lines?

Pump is hot wired and is certainly running all the time. Sounds like a fat chick rolling around in a waterbed....not that I would know, my wifes like 100 lbs and 5'4 :)
