took it out for a drive, and was rewarded with a 1-2 shift at 5500 that kicked the truck sideways, and a 2-3 shift at 5500 that broke both tires loose!!

I'm hoping mine acts like this when I drop the clutch on it :myclone: ... I have to replace that pesky spider injector first though and fix the PS system

Sounds like a killer truck... Glad to hear that you got it running the way it should.
I gotta ask though... what the hell you got in it that breaks the tires loose on the 2-3 shift? I have never seen or heard of any GT that would do this. Mine is modded and running pretty damn good but could never get a tire to spin on the 2-3... pretty good bark on the 12 though. Was it raining out? You got 10speed tires on that thing? LOL

Anyway... Congrats!

Thats awfully high, they came with 3.42's just like the SyTy did.... my truck is going to be crazy with the T-5, it came from a car that had a 2.73 behind a 305

Sounds like 3.73 gears, I did a engine swap on a 82 S-10. I installed a 1988 4.3 that had 44,000 miles on it 700r4 and a 3.73 gear rear end that had 12,000 miles on it. The truck would get 22.5 mpg on the hwy, go sideway on the 1-2 shift and really bark the tires on the 2-3 shift. Everyone at work use to say that I had a V-8 with a shift kit in the trans, until I opened the hood. Everything was stock including the trans. The only thing I did was to flip over the air-cleaner.:rotf: :rotf: Anyway on the hwy at 75mph it would show 3200 rpm's with a 245/60-15 tire.

I'd like to take first dibbs but don't want to hold anybody up. I honestly don't think it's worth $1K with no cladding and bad engine. I can not comit to anything until after NATS anyay so I'll keep it on the back burner and take my chances. Always wanted a Black GT but it's a little steep for the condition it's in. Look me up after NATS if you want to negotiate.
