Looks mean nothing. Only a correctly operated flow bench and velocity numbers can be accurate. So what does he say the flow #'s are?

like you can possibly compare flow numbers from bench to bench..... hahahahahaha

they look nice but i would never recommend removing the guide on the exhaust port. the valve will not be albe to spin once it gets some carbon on the valve stem, and the valve job wont last if the valve cannot turn freely. on a race car where your only gonna put 5k miles on it before rebuilding it anyway...... go for it.

Didn't say from bench to bench. Different heads / porting on the same bench. But of course all that know about flow bench's know this, guess I should have clarified. And yea missed the ex. guide, not a street worthy thing to do for a DD.

his exact pm:

"That includes fully ported and polished with 2.02 intake 1.60 exhaust valves, full radius valve job, spring pockets machine for large spring and high lift cam. They will be drilled and tapped ready to be bolted on and your choice of valve spring combo, these heads are heavy modify and flow in the 290's intake and 218's exhaust. I do not require a core for the heads but will need your intake to port and modify, i also do heads for buick grand nationals as well as engine build ups as well , many board members use my heads and are well in the 9's .Here is a link to some of my previous heads for other customers. Let me know if i can be of service thanks. Khai ."

Not to mention, the heat transfer from the valve head. They're more likely to burn, that way.

They don't look too bad to me, either. Looks like he took a fair amount of material out of the intake bowl, judging from the depth of the guides.

Kinda looks like one of the guides is a little bit gorked. Might just be the shadows. It's tough to eval heads from a pic, your fingers will tell you so much more...
