oil in exhaust

There is a constant drip of oil/water coming from the exhaust. There is also white smoke coming from the exhaust in idle and acceleration. What will cause this to happen?

Re: oil in exhaust

Could be bad valve guides. Turbo could be leaking oil down the exhaust? just throwing out ideas.

A lot of white smoke is Water. Blue smoke is oil. So having said that, now just find where. Turbo leak?, Head Gasket?? Valve Guides? would be my guess.

If I'm not mistaken if it is the Valve guides it poof smoke when you start the truck.

just me :2cents:

Re: oil in exhaust

Once you start the truck it has a constant drip of moisture. It feels and smells like it has some oil in it. The only time you could really notice the smoke is when you rev up the engine.

Re: oil in exhaust

is it constant white smoke even after driving it around for a while, because any car when you first start it up might have moisture in the exhaust that needs to burn off.
