well, i did alot of upgrades, but for everybody wanting a descent ride!

install koni's adj, shock around (set them half way, between soft, and hard)
install the beltech swaybar (the big one) biggest improvement

deinstall the stupid ABS, cause that crap really makes yor brakes worthless, the ABS is acting up when you drive above 100mph, and try to brake.

check your idler arm, they seem to get alot of play during the miles, i had to replace them on both of my running trucks.

i loved the handling of my stock Syclone alot more than my Ty, but with these upgrades done, it's handling alot better than the Sy!

well, shocks where about 250, the idler arm 40, swaybar around 200, ABS delete 20 or so,, so about costed about 500.
that's me being in europe, so i think 300 does the trick for you americans.

but this 500 upgrade made my ride feel like a 20K car instead of a 2k car.
hehe

I've heard good things about the KYB Monomax shocks. Only $52 at Summit. Just another cheaper alternative.

Bezerk, is your truck lowered? I have torsion keys in front with Beltech leafs. The ride is crapo in front and I thought this might only apply to stock height trucks for ride improvement. The steering goes back and forth and any ruts rip the truck that direction... It seems to be common to NW Typhoons; I've ridden in two others here that are the same.

I need to rebuild my front suspension; maybe I will get the coilover kit from JS... I am hoping the idler arms and new steering shaft will work as a band-aid for now.

There's some other good threads about shocks like this one:
http://www.syty.net/forums/showthread.php?t=36179

The Bilstiens were $10 more at Summit.

I got the KYB's now but I still need to install them. They look a little long for a 3" drop.
This is the part numbers I got from the thread above:
Front Part #565048
Rear Part #565047

Thats how my Ty was handling. Still finishing up my coilover but all the bushings were pretty much trashed. Control arm, ball joint, idler, pitman, tie rods, etc. I'm replacing everything including the steering box, shaft, bearings and CV's because I'm not doing this again. Its a royal PITA! I think the stock suspension with good poly-graphite bushings would give great results and take away the shitty steering. You can get also ZQ8 steering boxes on car-part.com for $30.
