E85 crew - Any drop in intake temps?

I was just curious if anyone on here who has gone from 93 pump gas to E85 had the opportunity to compage before/after intake temps. I know that when using alky injection, one of the great gains you realized was a drastic drop in IAT readings. Was curious to see if a pre-mixed fuel like E85 would have any change on the IAT's.

alky/water/meth injection sends the liquid into the air stream before combustion. e85 injects it into the combustion chamber, so you shouldn't see any change.

if e85 burns cooler then it might not heat soak the turbo quite as much....and not heat the intake charge as much. .0001 degree change prolly.

If you do try it make sure you have enough fuel flow..... I know a couple turbo mustang people said there temps have droped from using the e85 but I havent personally played with it to much since I can get 105 unleaded right out of the pump 4 miles from me and the closest e85 place I know of is over 200 miles round trip

Well, the MAT won't see anything... it's before the injectors.

That doesn't mean you won't see an intake temp drop at the valve, though.

Any alcohol will absorb some heat energy... how much depends on how much fuel you deliver.

As others have said, you will need a minimum of 55# injectors in an otherwise stock configuration. If you have bigger heads/cam/turbo, you'll need considerably more than that.

And a whole lotta tuning.
