Hydroboost help plz

[syntax]

searched the hydroboost threads but didnt find much info. I picked up my unit, but the rod is 3/4 inch shorter than the stock rod and the hole at the end of rod is a larger diameter. im assuming the rod length needs to be exactly what the rod lenght was from the vacuum stockbooster, is this correct? If so, is it safe to cut and weld the old rod onto my new hydroboost unit after measuring the length? not sure about brake saftey and welded rods.

i cut my stock sy rod and welded it onto the hydroboost and put a piece of pipe over the rods like a slide collar and welded it up mine works great so far

If That Rod In The Unit Comes Out ....you Have No Brakes! .......its Crimped In There For A Reason. The One You Should Use Is The One That Has The Corect Rod Length (.)

u cut the rod in the middle not at the crimp,and weld it with the slide collar over the 2 rods it can not come apart or u can buy the right kit for 600 from various vendors

what about using a ford clutch adjusting rod, It has an eyelet in it, And a turnbuckle

i did the same thing to mine. cut the rod off the stock booster and welded it to the hydroboost unit.

another amazing upgrade. you will love it when done. i know i can boost launch at any lbs now without a creep.

for my slide collar i went to home depot and got a piece of pipe that just slid over the rod
