Battery relocation kit? relocate battery kit

Anyone ever get the a kit from summit to relocate the battery to the bed?

Is it worth it?

If not, what's the parts list that's needed to just buy? Obviously a box and cable, but how long of cable? What connectors?

I want to relocate to the front of the bed behind the passenger side.
Do you have to remove the factory battery cables and run new cables, or do you just connect them some how?

I just built my own kit for know. You really only need a box, someway to secure it in the bed, cable thickness we were discussing earilier here

as for length you could probably get away with 5-6 feet from were you are putting it, but I would get longer just incase. Connectors would have to be based off what size wire you run. Obviously you will need 2 battery terminal connectors ( I would switch to a top post style ) and 2 connectors to hook up your ground and power cable.

There have been discussions on how to wire the setup and many different way to do it which alot seem to work so you'll have to read up and deside how you want ot wire it. Some people but a inline fused link, some run the alternator to the battery, some to the starter. Just read up and if you get really stuck I'm sure we can help yah out.

Obviously you will need 2 battery terminal connectors ( I would switch to a top post style ) and 2 connectors to hook up your ground and power cable.

When you say 2 connectors to hook up ground and power is that to the original stock cables?

No sorry I forgot about that question, I would rip the stock cables out and start over.

Yeah I couldn't remember I thought I bought 10ft to go to the back of the bed. Maybe it was more.

I built my own kit aswell. Got all the parts at the local NAPA
