Bring my buick to the nats?

Hello everyone,

I have seen the Nats are going to be held at KCIR, since I live in Topeka I will be attending the Nats but on sytynationals.com it says NonSYTY's keep car outside of the gates. I would like to bring my 1986 Buick Regal T-Type to the nats and NOT keep it outside the gates so then i wont be worried about someone stealing it. I will not be attending in the test n tune with my car either.

I was hoping I could meet all you fellas, but was wondering if i could bring my Buick and keep it in the gates instead of outside of them?

im bring my buick since the ty is down again and I DO plan on bringing it in and running but then again i dont make the rules so someone that does should chime in, i posted earlier and found i could run

there is ample parking space inside the track. There should be no problem..just make sure you register.

Non SYTY people are the only ones that will not be allowed inside the gates. Those that are just there to spectate. We don't want people wandering around in the "pits". Especially with all that equipment etc. that is there.
If you are a SYTY'R and have registered.... you will receive a wristband that will identify you as one of us.

I wish we could bring ours... We are missing a Buick event at US 41 to go to the Sy/Ty event...

Can't wait.. only a few more days!!!

Its OK to bring your Buick as long as it is slower than the slowest SyTy .

Good luck with that one.... if you've seen black death's video Syclone running 9.04 to a Grand National running 7.40.

It does not take much to get a GN to make decent power with good reliability. They are alot of fun that's why we have both! :tup:

Everbody that drives a buick to nats MUST wear a pink shirt all weekend. That is the rule, on page 12 of the syty flyer.

i on both sides as well but got to say i have had much better luck with my gns then the ty maybe it is the fact i have 3 now and have had 7 or 8 now in total and only 1 ty.

I've had alot more exprience with Buicks than with Sy/Tys... There's just more good parts that we can buy for them. Two vendors making blocks! One Iron one Allum. That alone says there's still a interest in putting together Buick engines.
I'll have a Stage setup in my 86 Camaro in a few years for sure. I've got a girdle'd 109 block together for now. It's not a Buick body but now I can take it to Chevy events and Buick events

I'll bring the Buick if I get the bypass AC pulley in by saturday. It should be since im getting from the dealer since its as much as Kirban sells it for. Anyways, I can't wait to go to the Nats even though I wont really know anyone, so I hope to meet many of you.

I'll have my video camera there to film the trucks, then later in the night I'm heading to a friends birthday, so I'll have to show them fellas the vids!
