He sold it a few years ago, they have another S10 drag truck now. I believe their Syclone now resides in Florida somewhere.

It was in FL for awhile to be "tuned" down the road from me. It went from a nice 10 second truck to a 12 second truck really quick. That's what happens when you give one of these things to Mustang/GN guys to tune. I kept getting messages and phone calls of a really nicely built syclone at the track that looked really fast, but wasnt posting numbers. :rotf:

The owner I believe lives in TN, last I heard the truck was sitting at Wallers...

I kind of wondered what would happen once it parted ways from the Hoover family. Not many people out there who could make a oddfire 4.3 run like your dad did.

You guys should buy it back and save it ;)......

I agree BUT we had a lot of really good people helping that enjoyed seeing the ET drop as much as we liked it! There was a big learning curve with the truck but I thought we had the bull by the horns to a point. We thought we would get some 8.60-70s out of it eventually ......oh well......

I wish we could but I've heard we would have to spend a lot to get it back "clean" like we had it. There were very few scratches on that truck when we sold it

the truck now lives in charleston, sc and it is probably not running. the owner doesnt know what end of a screwdriver to hold and is in pitiful shape. a real shame. I tried to buy it off him but he didn't sell.

it did spend a few months in FL getting a XFI system and is a complete wreck, will barely run and would maybe run a low 11 when it left my place. the guy didn't want to spend any money on it and it needed a lot of help.

Must be nice to have the kind of cash to plunk down on one of the fastest Syclones made to date, then let it sit and rot.

When we sold them the truck they wanted it detuned for street racing. So we toned her down a lil and it ran 6.20s when they got it.

1st pass with them owning it, it ran 6.19, which is very streetable with 4 good tires. I think they raced it on the street a couple of times and then started changing things. Thats probably where it started going downhill. The setup was perfect, lacking only a few suspension adjustments, in my opinion.

They use to call every now and then and ask a question or 2 but I bet it been over a year since dad or I have heard from them.

Thats sad. I always love watching that truck in those vids. But at the same time thats why I started with a stock truck and worked my way up in the modifications chart. I did not want something that someone else did. Not because of the quality of the work done but rather I understand the changes and know how to work on it when it breaks.
