Turbo-Link Installed

Turbo-Link ALDL Cable - Runs in ALDL mode. The cable needs modified. I'm not sure if it works with DM. . . I think it would after it's modified. I can dig up the thread. It on here somewhere.

Good: Laptop works fine, albeit slow (of course, being a PII w/64mb RAM)

Bad: Battery is completely dead. Won't even hold a charge long enough to power up. :lol:

I've always just used an AC/DC power converter anyway. So it was never an issue.

Datamaster is a monitoring tool. It will give you a good picture of how well your truck is actually running. Showing things like Knock Retard, how hot your running, steady boost or not, whether you are running rich/lean, and when, that sort of thing. It will help you narrow down any problems you might be having and not know about.

It is not a real time tuning tool. For that, you would need something like TunerPro.

As for the cable, if I recall correctly, it needs opened up and a connection or two snipped inside. Trying to dig up the thread, but it seems to be buried more than I thought. :lol:

I would recommend buying an ALDL cable from TTS anyway. Lots of people have had issues with Datamaster and the Turbolink cable. :tup:

I have A cable you can have. IM am now Fast system & no longer need this stuff.

I just double checked, and no, it does not have the crack code, nor has it been authorized. There are only 7 runs remaining before it needs to be authorized.

Another selling point to consider, this very laptop was once owned by Will_in_China. :lol: :lol:

Thats the same lap top I tune with. I hate that f'in ting. However, it has been super faithful. I have never had a single problem with it.

I thought it looked familiar! You know, if you would've had it at Nats I would've bought it for that reason alone. (You actually made me go back through videos from when we lived together to see if I could spot it. No dice though.)
