*NEW PROB!?!* Need help with a Diagnostic System, Monitor 4000E???

Hi all. I picked up an OTC Diagnostic System, Monitor 400E and used the Domestic Pathfinder III Cartridge and it worked perfectly the day I put it in the SY. The next day I tried to use it I kept getting an error message saying that it cannot read the ALDL port??? I did not change a thing. If anyone has experience with this thing I would appreciate the help to get this working again. Thanks.

I used my 4000 yesterday. Try it in a differient car/truck. You may have trouble aldl port/ecu.

Is there any way to test the ALDL port to make sure it is working? I will try it on another truck. Thanks.

Anyone? My check engine light is on and I cannot clear it. I have tried unplugging the ECM, disconnecting the battery cables, and using a jumper on A and H at the ALDL. Could I have a bad ECM??? Any help at this point would be great. The truck runs fine. Thanks.
