Does this look bad?

I took off the butterfly deal on the TB and painted it red. I know it looks kind of orange in the picture but I assure you, it is a cherry red. Anyway, anyone think this is too much red? Should I pull it back off and go black?

I think black would look better but that doesn't mean the red looks bad

I had my BBK throttle body powder coated red so I'm a fan of the red. Either way would look nice, black or red.

I like it red, and speaking of red.....where did you get the red grommets/inserts on your plastic Vortec valve covers?

Ditch it. Not sure why you would want that particular piece to stick out from the rest of the motor. Black or Chrome is the way to go IMO, with a bigger nod to the black than the chrome.

Those are actually red. I busted my ass to try and find black ones but no dice.

Yeah I wasn't sure about it myself either at first. I took the throttle and TV cable bracket off to freshen it up and thought I should do the other one at the same time. I painted the other bracket red and I guess I wanted to stir it up a little and get some more red in the mix. Plus, I bought these real nice stainless bolts for it all and thought I should have a bright color to show them off?:lol:

Really??? Mine have black ones in them. I like them with the little bit of red accent on them....just me I guess. I guess ill just keep my eye out for a set with red in them.

You dont want those, what I am trying to say is that those grommets are pumpkin orange. They look awful. Where did you get black ones?

Well of course its my truck and ultimately I will do what I want. I like to hear opinions about things I am not sure about. Sometimes someone will say something that will click and make sense to me.

looks nice. i planned on doin' mine black because mine looks like it has barnacles on it, but took one look at the process to remove it and backed out. looks like it would be a pita to do. how long (minus the paint time) did it take to tear it apart?

I like the idea, but I think you have too many competing reds going on...the fuel rails, regulator, Typhoon logo, and something on the firewall (I can't make it out) are all in different reds. If you could match them up a little I would really dig it.
