Ground issue?

Have used $59 for almost a year w/ no issues. Busted the trans in January and just put the rebuilt one in last week. Now I will get random a hiccup that resets engine run time, knock counts, etc. When it happens it goes very rich for a few second and then stabilizes. It doesn't matter if idling, cold or driving down the road it just does it occasionally. I can't make it do it and it did it once @ 10 psi. (very nice backfire). The only electronics I touched w/ tranny out was to remove the starter, O2 sensor, and I rerouted the purple wire to get it away from the exhaust.

Any suggestions?

battery is relocated. the neg lead to the original battery location in now grounded to the frame rail under airbox and battery is grounded to the frame onder the bed. I will clean both connections tomorrow and see what happens.

Ecm connector connections. I'd also validate that your socket where the ostrich plugs in isn't loose.

where exactly are the Ecm grounds?

pulled the ecm to swap it out since I had a spare. I was running my fingers along the edges of the ribbon cable from the Ostrich to the G1 and felt some burrs. I went ahead and replaced the ecm but I put several layers of electric tape all along the length of the ribbon since it was rubbing againt something up in there or from getting it in and out. So far I have not had a reset so I'm hoping all is well. Only time will tell.

Yeah that sounds like a ECM issue. I have had simillar experiences.

Well it hiccupped again today. Reset run time, knock counts,blm, etc to zero. Then while sitting idling it went very rich and the aldl disconnected from the truck. Tried unplugging and replugging it in, and restarted tunerpro but it would not connect to the truck. Just as an after thought I reloaded the bin and just like that it connects and works again. Now my Innovative is flashing a bad o2 code. It never ends. At least I have a good bin installed and its open loop so I don't need the o2 to drive it. I just hate the guage showing 22afr all the time. I guess I am back to looking for a bad ground somewhere?
