Sony VAIO PCG-FX140

This is an older laptop with the following specs:

700 MHz Intel Pentium III processor
384MB of RAM
10 GB hard drive
14.1” XGA TFT screen
Removable 3.5" 1.44 MB disk drive
DVD-ROM drive
Type I/II PC cards and Type III PC card with CardBus support
2 USB ports (1 port is broken)
Serial port
VGA monitor
Parallel (printer)
Phone line (RJ-11)
Microphone
Headphone

I will include a D-Link DWL-650 wireless PCMCIA card and driver disk. This card will support the wireless B protocol and WEP encryption.

I have done a fresh install of Windows 2000 Professional with service pack 4 and all updated Windows drivers.

This laptop has both a serial and parallel port on it, so there is no need to use a USB to serial converter when trying to run monitoring software. I have run a trial of DataMaster on this laptop and it connected to my truck fine so I know that it will work as a tuner laptop. I can't guarantee the life of the battery, but I did take a picture of what the laptop thought was left in it.

Not to be ignorant but how far are you from Orlando?

My sis in law is recently divorced and has no pc.
She has been looking for a cheap laptop she can use for her digital camera and internet email stuff.

hey warren if it falls through with the other guys let me know, i've been looking for a cheap laptop to use for datalogging, the internal logger on my ecu doesnt have much memory

I can do $120 shipped via parcel post (the online calculator says it will be $15.83, but I've never managed to get the same price in the post office. I can refund you any overage if you want). Says it will be 7 days to get there. For $130 I can do priority mail which is 2 days. Let me know which one you want to do.
