Loeryder New member Sep 19, 2006 #4 Re: Xfer Case photos for reference So that looks like a Typhoon case: BG-4472 (4 pinion planets?) correct? And I don't think the chain is supposed to rub the case. If yours does then its time to rebuild.

Loeryder New member Sep 19, 2006 #6 Re: Xfer Case photos for reference The sealed unit between the planetary and the chain sprocket is the vicous fluid clutch. That part alone is ~$600. the rest of the parts for the rebuld are pretty reasonable.

ashman ------ Sep 19, 2006 #7 Re: Xfer Case photos for reference this is out of my SY. not sure of it's history. BTW, i was getting the dreaded poping noise under boost. I've ordered a new chain, in hopes, that it will take care of my problems.
