OK guys I have been searching for answer and not having any luck finding them. I did find an old thread asking pretty much the exact same question I had, but the responses left me more confused. Conversation turned to what turbos work with stock downpipes. I will have a custom downpipe, so the only thing concerning me is what will bolt to my exhaust manifold.
I have stock syty exhaust manifolds, besides the stock turbo what would bolt on! Do I need an adapter? I am not talking downpipe, wastegate, blowoff valve, oil fittings etc.
Just a simple, what turbos will bolt on to the syty exhaust manifold? I am a turbo newbie obviously. Just need to know if I need an adaptor or not. Oil fittings downpipe etc will not be stock so they dont matter. Just need to know what or what does not bolt up.
People tell me to buy a 20g turbo, maybe I am dumb but does it bolt on, a direct fit?
Looking for a moderate budget turbo ($600-$800), that will give me 300-350 flywheel hp, quick spooling, little to no lag, No race tracks, no runs to 5500rpm, a street driven truck with gobs of torque low down.
Also would love to hear who is good to deal with! What companies. Budget is just a ballpark, I would like to keep it in the above listed price range but will spend more if it saves money in the future.
