Tuning Help

I am having trouble getting my Sy to run right. It idles well but once you start moving it seems to be skipping or missfiring. It also won't build more than 2 lbs of boost at launch. I just put an MSD distributor and 6A ignition in it and have double checked the timing 4 times. It is definately set at 0. I also have an Ultimate Chip version 7 in it along with a BBK twin 58mm throttle body and other mods. I thought that perhaps the exhaust was clogged but it isn't (I have taken it completely off and it runs the same) Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Is the distributor lined up properly?

I know this sound obvious but make sure you spark plug wires are on properly. The other Morgan switched the 2,4,6 plugs wires and had a similar problem, it idled well buy would build boost.

Well it must be in the name. That was exactly what I had done. I just went to downstairs, switched corrected the wires and took it for a ride. All I can say is holy Sh!t. It is like night and day from before. I can't wait to hit the track this Friday. What time are you heading up?

Thanks for the advice Eric. At first I thought that I might have done what you said but it was simpler than that, thank god. It was just me messing up the firing order and mixing up where the even numbered wires go on the cap.

It might be because of that throttle body. It moves alot more air at part throttle (and WOT) than the stock one does. And your chip is tuned for a stock throttle body.

Thanks Justin. Does anyone make a chip that compensates for my setup + the BBK twin 58mm throttlebody? I am also running a PTE44 turbo in case that matters.

Code what?
Your BBK throttle body would not cause those symtoms, unless you suspect a vacuum leak. What ever happend with the tuning? was it your firing order?
