Transmission rebuild advices

hi guys
am going to rebuild the ty Transmission do you have any advices or recomendations for me ??
and Does the "92 Typhoon come with a Lock up torque converter or non-lock up torque converter?

am searching for some stuff at summit right now

any help will be appreciated

It has a locking converter, but the Syclone trans is a bit of its own animal. It is best to go to a 4L80E conversion, but if you don't have $5,500 siting around... The 700R4 can be build to hold around 600 ft/lbs, but you can not beat on it like teenager and that level of power. There used to be an awesome trans builder on here, but he moved on. I think he gave most of his info about build a good Sy trans to another vendor, but I don't know who exactly.

There is a great tranny builder still on here. He was one of the first to start building syty trannies and also built some 700s that have gone 9s
