You can put the propshaft back in and take your truck to a large parking lot with a friend.
Have them stand closeby while you drive in tight circles both left and right.

Listen for popping and groaning.
Clicking or popping coming from the front end is usually the CV joints.
A groaning noise under the front of the truck is probably the front diff.
Groaning felt through the floorboard is probably gonna be the transfer case.

As you drive in tight circles listen for your tires to chirp or chatter.
If you get any type of "hopping" the viscous clutch is probably shot.

They arent bad to replace really.

Drop both driveshafts and then the case.
I'd recommend 2 sets of hands to get it out and back in.

You'll also need the paper gasket between the case itself and the trans/adapter.

where is a good plac to buy any broken parts or should i send it out to a shop that does this kinda thing everyday.I have been into the transfer case in my off-road jeep,so i think i can handle the r/r part of it.

sounds to me that the chain in the transfercase stretched.
i had the same thing in my Ty, everytime i was accelerating, it would clunk.
replaced teh transfercase and all was good.

not a really bad thing to do. but a carlift would be handy
