sy ty engine in blaz

ok here goes ... i am building a sy ty engine for my 86s10 blazer... now i have a block vortec heads upper and lower intake fuel rail manifolds and crossover.... now i still need to rebuild the block to what ever specs i want .. should i find a stock wiring harness and ecu and start from there and then tune using that ... i dont really know my options i mean i knwo of FAST and going that way but does anyone have any sugestions like should i go stock ecu and go with a chip ... i mean i havent decided cam turbo size pistons injectors anything yet so i dont knwo if i should see what chips are for what mods and then build around the chip or what any help would be awsome i want to get going on this but i am at a hold up doing all the research i figure i better do it before i start spending more money....

Is it 2wd or 4wd? The biggest issue is figure out how fast you want to go and how much money you have. These are directly related. If money is not an object, then search away for answers. Remember everyone has their own opinion and some are not nice, just keep your head in the project, and let us know when you get it going...

That sounds like a deal - It cost me more than that to build mine. Of course, there's always the desire to do it yourself. I would recommend buying the one from Syborg's friend. Lots of fun for little money... Sleepers are also VERY cool...

if i was to build one from scratch, first i'd toss the factory intake, second i'd run an aftermarket ecm. i know tuner's have made world's of progress w/ our ecm's but i'd run like a big stuff 3 so i could just skip to the 4l80e. and just to ice the cake i'd run a pair of turbos just for giggles :tup: :tup: :tup:
