so Smaug and I usually go to meets and have a picture shoot off, but figured we'd let the public vote to settle the bet. I am positive i know which shots are best, but figure everyone else can settle the debate.

We did 1 action and 1 still shot each...so please vote for one of 1 vs 2, and one for 3 vs 4....so vote for 2 pics please. I don't feel like making 2 seperate polls for this, so this will have to do :lol:

I'll go with #1 of the one vs two, and the others I don't really have a favorite, so chosing not to vote on them.

So very close on the first two as I like them both almost equally.

Had to go with picture 3. Subtle lighting and I'm a sucker for being able to see the full vehicle. All 4 pics are killer though.

What cameras are you guys using?

we are both Canon users though.

#1 action has a better background, plus the sharp focus on the truck with the blurred background makes for a damn good pic.

#2 action is still good, but the background with the buildings and vehicles takes away from it. Lighting is a bit dark as well (looks overcast, so i know that plays a big factor).

#3 still.. hard shot to pull off with sun setting and low light, but the lines of the truck still are visible. My only gripe is that the photo needs to be cropped down a bit more...dont need so much sky, treeline, and grass.

#4 still... also a really good pic, but there are 2 things that kill it. Powerlines in the background, and the truck's antenna. Being really nit picky...the splatered bugs annoy me too. I would also like to have seen it pulled a bit more to the right to see more grille and less treeline on the backend.


Regardless they are all really good pics and both you know how to take great pictures....

and for the record, none of the pics were cropped whatsoever. And only 1 pic up there has post processing - which was discussed ahead of time and we decided it was allowable...thus no cheating. :lol:

well the one NATS that we did it, i ended up taking like 3 pictures or something...another time we just had way too different of pics and were too hotheaded to admit the other's was better. heh.

as for hints, i didn't give any hints, i have no idea who is in the lead, i'm not even voting.

i'm just saying i want to win and i want to win big :D

What wheels are on the truck, #3. they look like the stockers but with a lip? and look bigger?
