rough idle

Ok. The Ty has new EVERYTHING. It idles rough and when i put it in gear the rpm's drop really low. Sometimes it stalls. I was told that my battery was dead. I was also told that when you start the truck it "learns" the idle so if you have a dead battery it has to relearn everytime. So i bought a new battery and it still does it. I won't even turn my lights on at night backing out of the driveway because it will stall. Also when i turn my ac on the idle doesn't raise.

If you dont have the mechanical skills to check your battery to see if its good or bad without someone just telling you its dead.. you need a different vehicle , that typhoon hates you. I drive my ty about once a week and never have any of the problems you encounter

these are all problems from the start that we are going through. The battery was checked via a machine at the shop. The other problem with the boost was that the stock turbo to ic hose had a hole in it. Thats fixed. Everything is being fixed on the list. This is the problem that i am working with now though. Just incase this is what was done. Snap on motor vac, gm tec, redline, ngk ur5ix plugs gapped at .35, black beauty's, new iac, pcv, cap, rotor. I don't know if i am forgetting anything but everything was done. o all new vac lines too.

if you have new everything, and really think the ignition is in good condition, then you probaly have a fueling problem at idle, do you have datamaster running yet? whats the IAC #'s? are they out of wack? that could cuase stalling and crappy idle, what about the short term counts? are they close to 128? if they are above 128 you need to add more fuel to bring them down for the idle(i think more fuel brings the Sterms down, correct me if im wrong), whats your voltage at idle on datamaster? should be 12.9-14, anything under that would be a good indication of a bad battery/altnerator or electrical problem, how about a Datamaster file of the truck idling, then we can help you for sure, is the IAC controller new? when was the last time you cleaned it? is the screw adj correctly?

hi kev, still looking for the damn fuel pump. My garage is a mess. Ok i just did 2 dm tests. One is when the ty is idling with NO lights on. The other is when the lights ARE on.

Hey,
No hurry on that pump, some guy made an illegal left infront of me and i clipped him, so my sy is out of commision for a while, having a legal battle with the other guys insurance to make them paint my entire truck so the brand new cladding and 3 painted panels dont look like shit next to all the other 11 year old paint and cladding.
