Re: return home check in thread

Were probably gonna hit up the Loiusville slugger museum. And just relax. This is the worst.

Re: return home check in thread

Made my flight with a minute to spare (Thanks again Joe ((and family) and then sat on the runway for an hour. Pilot could not figure if the flaps were not working or if it was just the light on the dash. Back to the terminal to find a mechanic to replace the light. People can get real nasty on a plane when they think they will miss their connecting flight! Was going to offer to replace the bulb myself. Do you think this line would have worked? "If I can fix a SyTy, I can fix an airplane"!

No problem! Anytime! I'm just glad you made it on time. Christina would've given me the old "I told you so.." if you would've missed your flight.

PM me etc. We can met for dinner tonight if you want.

4th street live is good place to go at night, slugger museum, churchill downs (depending on flooding they had), bourbon tours (i suggest makers mark tour the most).

Man!! I had one hella blow out on one of my trailer tires. I tought the trailer had come off the truck, it sounded like the tongue of the trailer had hit the ground. My heart hit the floor for a second. I was lucky we where on a flat straight part of the road and managed to get it pulled over right away with out messing up the trailer.

Other than that we made it home fine

Re: return home check in thread

damn everyone had trailer issues..

pretty surprising but trailers always seem to have issues.

glad all those that did have issues with their trailers have made it home safe and without damage to their trucks

Blew a tire on motorhome. 3 tires in 3 trips, I think its time to just bite the bullet and get all new tires for the rear, just did the fronts.

Hey guys thanks for the offers. We just got back to the hotel from the Louisville Zoo and just hang out here and probably pass out for a while. I really appreciate the offers though. Sytyers are awesome.

I got home a little after 10pm, no problems at all. Glad everyone got home safe.

Re: return home & the day after

Re: return home & the day after

The trip home went a lot faster the the trip out. We had several long trafic jams on the way out. Today I unloaded the Sy from the trailer & it fell. The passanger sided ramp fell after I backed the back wheels off onto the ground, then when I went to back the front down it fell. I was working by my self, I should have checked the ramps after I had the back wheel on the ground, I have never had the ramps come unhooked before.

I broke a tab on the front passanger wheel arch. There are a few stress cracks in the paint on the front bumper. The damage tab had previously been repaired. I got very lucky, I think!
.
Does anyone know what kind of glue to use to repair the tab?

My dad and I made it back right around 8:00 PM. On the trip to NATs we took the Ohio route and going back we took West Virginia. If road work weren't part of the equation Ohio is a much nicer route hands down..

I just got back. We took the WV Mountain route on the way down and OH way b ack (We didn't even realize for a little while just followed the GPS) It was smooth sailing except for a rollover and road work  that in some places just seemed to be cones and no one around...

Myself and korey made it home in one piece! we got home at a little after 7 and had hot food waiting on the stove when we got out of the truck. Thanks NcTyphoon

The only issues we ran into was there was a wreck on i-40 and traffic slowed down to about 20 mph and this dang gmc suburban damn near took out the back of the syclone!

I ran about 80 mph all the way home except in the mountains. My truck pulled the sy thru the hills great. i got 13mpg going there and coming home i got 12.1 running the crap out of it.

HOOD

If by chance your able to make to the auto fair event we have three spots still open.

Re: return home check in thread

Checking in. Keith, Mike & Donna home finally.
We left 1:00pm from Bowling Green and we got in at 8:30am this morning.
Problems? YES...
Turns out the catalytic converters were clogged/cracked and the truck kept overheating and we had to keep pulling off the road. We finally took the Sy off the trailer and drove both vehicles. The tow truck could barely push itself let alone the Sy and Trailer. Slow going the whole way. We also went the longer route up thru ohio to avoid some of the hills in WV/MD. That added time to the trip but in the long run we might still be stuck if we went the shorter route.

Flight delayed 4 hours. Anyone want to party in Charlotte tonight? It's going to be cancelled.

Thanks Steve, by 2011 I hope to live here!
