New Door Weather Stripping?

Where might one find QUALITY door weather stripping for an S10 pickup? Or Blazer, or SyTy, or Jimmy, or S15, or Bravada. Specifically for a 91ish S10.

Quality? I have never used any of their stuff, but I have a good buddy who rebuilt almost his whole truck with them, and isn't super happy about it.

LMC stuff is less than ideal. Thats why we went out and got different supplier and have been tremendously happy with the belt moldings, the GRC's and other stuff. We have been working with them to have new door seals made, we tested a universal one, and ones from LMC and other places and just weren't happy with the fit. We just got prototypes in yesterday and will be fitting them this weekend, the making them available for everyone on our store, and maybe even do a GP. Will post more info soon.

If you can make them better than LMC then you have the whole S10 market as well.

The other thing that LMC did poorly was replacing the window run channels. It took about 3 years before I finally realised that the ones on the truck were different from the ones that came stock. The amount of hassle that caused me was a real pain.

That had crossed my mind, and have had many S10 guys order the belt moldings and GRC's. The poor quality of what was out there is what drove us to find and carry the products we do.

Will have more info on the seals soon.

Yeah I'd love that. The ones on my truck don't seem to fit right. Based on the condition id say they were replaced along the way by a previous owner. They seem to pull out of the corners which then keeps the door from closing correctly sometimes.

I thought I bought door seals from you with my belt mldgs. I know I had to go LMC on a couple seals, but I thought those were the tailgate and rear glass weatherstrips. Which don't fit well. You really have to slam the rear window to get it to latch. I guess that might help any rattle that it would make if/when it ever gets on the road again.

Glass run channels we have new and sell along with the belt moldings many times. I can't remember about the actual door seals.

Re: New Door Weather Stripping?

UPDATE:

We got a test set, so we put em on the stop truck. They fit well and are very nice and supple. The biggest difference from OE is that its not a continuous loop. There will be a seam, but you can put it wherever you want. I put it by the kick panel, just under the dash and you can barely see it or tell. The doors shut very tight. Kinda weird, but then again the stock molding were well worn and smushed.

We have more coming and will have them on the site and at Carlisle.
Pricing will be $75 (plus shipping) and thats for a PAIR. Both doors!
