I think we need a "sticky" with the paypal addy to donate to the Nats winners payout. That way,ppl can give a couple or 3 dollars a month, which should add up nicely.I'll give $10 a month at least.

hey mister, can you spare some change??
:2cents: :2cents:

i agree that there should be something for people to donate throughout the year, instead of right before NATS when everyone is trying to save up for gas money, air fare, beer money, sumo rental, bottles of Crown Royal, etc..

There is.....

If you would like to donate to the cashpot for 2006 Nationals, you can send it via PayPal to cashpot@sytynationals.com. This will flag those donations for us and keep them in a safe place until the 2006 Nationals.

The Nationals is non-profit, in fact people donate money out of their pockets for operating costs, racing payouts, trophies, track rental, all kinds of things you need to run an event for roughly 72 hours. Businesses also donate products and services. In the event there were a profit it would go toward the next years deposits. Noone profits from the event except the attendees.

You think $60 is alot?
Ask the guys who paid $160, or how about $560?

Sure its a long haul for some folks, it can't be convenient for everyone. Moving it every year is a logistical nightmare.
The majority of trucks are focused on the coasts and the east and west have their own regional meets.

The Nationals is a one time year event that you can come and find a little bit of everything SyTy. Eat sleep and breathe SyTy with folks from all over the country. See the mods and trucks in person. Walk down a line of nothing but SyTys instead of drooling over the one or 2 local sightings.
It is middle of the country giving everyone the equal advantage.
Maybe someday there will be a slightly east or west concentration of owners willing to host the Nats but it doesn't really seem logical.
KC is dead center and not too mention where it all started.
I am buzzed and could go on and on having only been home from my 7th Nats in a row, and spending all day today at the S-Series.

Moral of the story, EVERYONE come to Nats Every year and it will all be ok... night all

Looks like I got Roadmaster back in the mix for another free transmission build, I talked to Bill the other day and he said he is in and that nobody called him about this years Nats...also we really need to make an effort to get trucks out to the these GM HighTech meets, guys have been complaining for years about them and now there in the mix lets show them what we've got...Rick came out this year and was a great guy lets hope we're lucky enough to have him back next year...I think he was hooked after going for a ride in Denny's truck, wait til he gets a ride in mine!!!
