I bought the solenoid from advanced auto and this is the only option for egr solenoid. now i dont know where it conects to next to the map sensor but i also cant find the plug that plugs into it. it like the guy before me cut it off!!

alos witch vacuum line goes to the silver fitting? the egr valve line or the line from the split in vacuum lines??

No its an egr vacuum solenoid. I already got that diagram but it still doesnt tell me witch one is witch cause if i mount up the solenoid one way over the other and follow the diagram whos to say it was the right way pending on witch way the solenoid is facing.

did the solenoid not come w/ a diagram or pamphlet/instructions? There is a chance that the solenoid doesn't have a check valve inside of it and wouldn't matter which line is hooked up to which port. Its def. not the same as the stock solenoid, so going by how a stock one is hooked up might also be guesswork.

This is what the stock EGR solonoid one looks like:

If you have the correct solonoid, there are 2 different diameter ports. The larger of the 2 goes to the check valve in the above diagram, the smaller goes to the EGR valve. HTH

pic you posted isn't an EGR solenoid for a syty, hopefully your working on something else.
