Re: Getting ready for spring?

Installed:
Silicone vac kit
Engine Tiedown
DutchTy lower cooler upgrade with new Johnson pump and rubber lines
Turbo to IC hardpipe
Battery relocated to lower fender
PLX Wideband o2
Propshaft loop
Removed Ultimate chip
Installed Ostrich 2.0 getting ready for code$59

Hope to have it running again soon, or at least for Nats. I need to extend the battery cables and start tuning and hopefully resolve the knock issues I was having. I really should be working on it right now but hurt my back at work.

Still to do:
Steering shaft upgrade
cold air box
fuel pump
3"downpipe, cat and muffler
LS1 brake upgrade

I did nothing to mine all winter, although I finally took it for a drive today, and then thought I should check out syty.net

Re: Getting ready for spring?

I had the engine rebuilt in the Ty a few months ago. Runs very strong now to say the least. I ported my L35's (bowl work) and had them machined for guideplates for use with 1.6 roller rockers, had my stock cam reground to my specs, and replaced my old 20G with a brand new 20G. Got the exhaust housing (14cm) black ceramic coated and the wastegate hole machined out and a larger puck installed (for better boost control). Still running the stock injectors set at 60 psi, runs well but bigger injectors are needed.

Same here, just pulled the SY out this weekend and took it for a spin and now I need to catch up on the board after a winter hiatus. Feels good to be back on the road, especially with the new transmission!

Re: Getting ready for spring?

Plans so far include some basic maintenance and to actually put some of the stuff that I have sitting on the shelf on the truck. Boost controller, springs, etc, etc, etc.
