FS: Intercooler scoops - Update 05/25/10

I'm doing another batch, post up if you want one.

Had a few extras made up for anyone who wants one. Based on the NWSTP design. Material is 1/8" 5052 aluminum. Price is $90 shipped to the lower 48. I'm not making any money on these, just covering my costs. I have 4 available. Will ship within 2 days of payment. Call dibs IN THIS THREAD so there is no confusion or bickering. Paypal is preferred. Is there two pieces to it or just one. The reason i ask is becasue in the pictures it looks like there are two sections to it with the bolts in the middle. Is that rear section not included?

It is all one piece. It bolts in the middle using existing hols and bolts. It goes back to right about the front differential.

Any chance of a pic a few feet away from the front of the truck??

I saw a 20-30 deg IAT drop when I tested these ~10 years ago. They work great.

Being the don't attach at all to the CAC if you should ever hang one up on a bump, etc it would just bend back and not hurt the CAC or A/A intercooler most likely.

I honestly think with minimal mods they would compliment the RPM A/A very nicely.

I have a similiar one made up from Syclone (I don't use it any more since I have a A2A with a scoop already built in) and it was top quality piece. I know $90 seems like a lot of money for a scoop, but the cost is in the materials.

Scoops themselves cost me $65+tax. Add 15 for shipping plus boxes and stuff is right at 90. Then i have to pay paypal fees. According the the old NWSTP site these were selling for 135 back then. I guess i'll have some stuff to sell at homecoming :lol:

I found these plans online last fall and had a metal shop in Forest Park, GA, fab one up for me. Ran me 75 total.

X2 on the road hazard danger. I had such a mishap with my stainless steel "Blade of Death" a few years ago. I could pop my hood after a long cruise on the highway and my IC would be cold to the touch. It's will keep you running cooler for sure.
