For Sy/Ty's with v8 swaps

How has the overall value been impacted? Asking as my Sy is a rebuilt title truck (2 owners ago I believe had a small electrical fire somewhere in the engine bay - but had been "rebuilt" to the point that I can't see signs of any damage, but alas, the title is rebuilt) and thought maybe in the future to do the v8 swap since my overall value is impacted due to the rebuilt title label.

Guess the real question is - how much does the swap impact value and how much more would it impact a rebuilt title truck?

I wouldn't be worried about resale value if you're going to pour a ton of time/money into a V8 swap.

drivetrain is solid - the truck itself drives great. Just a rebuilt title is all.

If you really want to do a V8 swap, then that's probably perfect platform to do it.

Clean titled SY/TYs, you really don't want to do that as that will affect value somewhat.

Just depends how well the V8 swap was done (clean install, everything sorted out, runs awesome).

yea I wouldn't half booty the v8 swap if i go that way. might resto-mod the dash as well. we'll see.
