Thats interesting. It definatly looks like the truck on the inside, same rip in the back seat and bracket attached to side of gauge cluster housing. The truck as it sits now has an unpainted (or severly faded) front grill and faded ground effects. And the odo clearly reads 087,XXX miles.

By the looks of things those pictures are from a 2 year old Ebay ad, so I'd imagine there were even more miles on it!
Jeff, did it still have the gauges in the pillar?
Matt, I'm assuming you didn't do a Carfax.

I dont think it had the pillar pods, but I cant really remember.

Apparently the previous owner to Dave was ... uh... less than truthful about the truck. Since Dave bought it, he had A LOT of work done to it, pretty much all mechanical. As far as I could tell, it's practically a brand new truck mechanically speaking.

I land in vancover, i think that the owner dave has somthing like 7k in recipts for the truck, new trans, brakes, suspension,front end, tires, engine topend was done,tune up etc, i don't think i can lose for the price i am paying 11k, all the work done does seem that the trucks odometer was rolled back before dave got it

Well, I guess I never checked back on Jimmy's "Ebay scam" thread after the first day.
Matt, It's good to see the trucks had some work done to it, and that is a great price! I can't wait to see it!!
I don't mean to keep picking on the truck, but I just copied and pasted this from the carfax.....01/31/2001 170,000 Washington......so this thing could have had 170K + on it??

I had to look at the carfax again i totally missed the 170 000, not a big deal imo, with all the great sy/ty owners in Edmonton and Cambell Automotive not far away, any problems i have i
am sure will be easily sorted out and the quicker it breaks.....................the sooner the build starts

Ya that 170k is weird, it does seem like alot of miles considering the entry before that was only 67k, 100k put on it in just over 2 years, thats ALOT of driving. Do you know when it was supposed to be on ebay with 138k?
I think overall, this truck just needs some love. Much better that than it joining the ranks of the parted-out or totalled even if it has a 'mysterious' past.
