Conversion Questions!

Hey Guys, New guy here...

I recently got my hands on a Typhoon engine and will be placing it into my 89 4X4 Blazer this summer. I know that it will be a big undertaking but I am looking forward to it.

Anyway, my question... What should I update on my Blazer to run the new motor more effectively? I already have the ECM but I was wondering about the fuel pump and other things like that. I am already planning on upgrading the exhaust to ATR unless other recommendations state otherwise.

Also, Is there anything that I should do to the engine before I put it in the Blazer? Keep in mind that for now I will be mostly keeping the engine stock for the most part, also I can't run very high octane because I am in Alaska and haven't really seen high levels above 90-92.

Thanks very much in advance for the recommendations and information.

The new guy, Matt

Re: Conversion Questions!

Well, last night I was thinking... If by some chance I were to not put in the Typhoon engine... about how much could I expect to get for it? The engine itself is from a 93 Ty, has about 47K on it, and is stock.
At this time I am not thinking of selling the engine but if a reasonable offer $$$$ came up then I might reconsider putting it into my Blazer. I know that this is probably in the wrong area but I am not stealing anyone's post so I figure it can't hurt.

Re: Conversion Questions!

I haven't got much in the way of conversion info, but is the engine you got complete with intakes, exhaust manifolds and x-over pipe. All the vacuum lines, wiring harness and fuel system there?

I'd think you could get a couple grand for it if everything is there.
