Re: And the depression sets in...
I also want to thank all the organizers of this event. You did an excellent job! Something was always happening and even the down time was fun. Except thursday night, I was so friggin tired from driving 1200 miles I went to bed at 10. Nice to see some old faces: Jimmy, Joe, Zach and meeting new ones like that Hispanic couple .
Naste was represented well, hopefully by their trucks next year.
We cleaned up on awards too! No Renz, drinking the most was not an award.
The AWD Dyno was just plain awesome. Maybe next year I'll remember to put my chip on the T-3 setting and then maybe see 400 hp / 600 torque at the wheels.
Gates barbeque --> great food!!! Want to personally thank Morgan for making up our little caravan and Keith (Sy-1193) for being my pit crew at the track. Mr. Calhoun for a great race, even if I lost. As for me, I am extremely tired. Got caught in some really bad rain storms in Indiana and Illinois. Driving a syclone for more than a few miles is just not fun. My arms are permanently bent at the elbow and the arm rest has a hole where my elbow was planted. Found out my cell phone was interfering with my truck. Everytime it would "look" for a signal the tach would jump around. Otherwise the truck ran flawlessly. It could have done better at the track but need to replace the o2 sensor and work on getting more boost.
Had a few people talking to me about the truck on the way hone at different stops and even had one guy telling me he owned a typhoon but got rid of it for his extreme because the extreme has the "big" 4.3 vortex motor. He had a ram air hood and dual exhuast on it.
I plan on trailing mine next year.
The only thing that would make it better would be a bigger turn out of trucks.
