so i bought brandons sy #569 and im headed home from ill to wisconsin, and at the last toll booth before i get to wi i see a red corvette z06 (385 hp i think). well hes in the lane to the right and he didnt see me but he left a little before me and i said what the hell, so im only 2 car lenghts behind him and hes goosing it. i laid in it and before i could get to his rear bumper he saw me, and gave her the rest of the loud pedal but by now im at full boost (when i picked it up it was only making 11-13 psi)and i walk right past him :evilbat: i guess 50,000 dollars doesnt get you much these days??? :D

as for kill #2 and #3 it was two for the price of one.its a three lane road, and a red nissan 350z with the plates too fun is in the far left, a grandma car i the center lane, an a old school eclipse, or talon is in the far lane. i pull behind the eclipise, and i hear a turbo spooling, but its not mine.so i boost launch it to 3 psi or so, and he still hasent seen me yet. hes too worried about the z to care the light turns green and were off for the first 10 feet or so im right on his bumper then the turbo spools, and i had enough power to go out to the left and pass him while hes whooping the z !!!! 8) i got a look at the 2 guys in it as i passed them and it looked like they said holy $h t!! i talked to them later and they actually said thats an s-10......no its ...holy $h t!! i also found out he was running boost control. at 16 psi.

then 2 days later i parked the truck at night and it was fine. the next morning i started it up to see HUGE puffes of blue smoke coming from both valve covers :fist: (i got greedy with the boost). first 15 psi then i says if 15 is good then 17 is better right??? WRONG!! so i did a compression check and i got
#1 150
#2 150
#3 100
#4 30!!!!!!

i gave up after that. o well forged internals here i come!!

that vette must be in dire need of a good driver or some repairs

I totally agree. Unless you got some major mods, a stock TY couldnt touch it. Especially from a roll, and even if it would be for a very short time. My vette is 300 hp and its an 80 (not stock motor or trans ), killed my Ty in the 1/4 (roughly) by atleast 4 cars. Ty nailed me for the 1/8 or so. But ive raced the ZO6 in my vette and there was no match off the line in the long run or anyhting. Havent raced one in the Ty yet but im sure the only thing I would have on it is more room inside the vehicle. I just cant swallow a stock Ty or Sy beating a ZO6. The guy had to be yankin your chain. Not trying to step on toes but dude...come on now.

seroiusly it wasnt a 405hp zo6 it was a 385 hp vette.

also its not a ty its a sy #569 pte52, lines rerouted, adj fpr, atr downpipe, and exaust,....etc.....etc.....

no offence taken i understand. vettes are VERY quick though. i have respect for them.

now if it would have been from 60 it would have been a different story!!

if you have a pte 52 and its running right, i would think the vette would actually have a hard time keeping up with him rather than the other way around...the sy probably is a 12.0-12.5 truck, all better than a stock c5 and as good as a zo6

10-4 little buddy. You haden't said anything about your truck so i assumed it was stock. You may be surprised to know this (not that it really matters), but our trucks share a few parts with the vette. Throttle body, injectors,
and other sensors and what not. Just a little FYI for anyone interested. When I rebuilt my motor and needed things like pushrods, rocker arms, that kind of stuff, I had to ask for them off of an 86-90-2 corvette. All the TPI motors had a lot of the same parts. Nice kill then.
