Everyone is welcome to come out including all you U.S syty'ers. Last year was a success we all had alot of fun, the turn out was good, this year is sure to be even better.

Friday September 9th @ A&W 12222-137 ave

-Time between 5-6PM
- We will hang there for a while then go for a cruise and maybe a couple drinks.
-I will have the shirts and hoodies with me.
-This is a weekly car meet that regularly sees 100+ cars.
-If you have any other ideas, speak up

Saturday September 10th @ Budweiser Motorsports Park
-This weekend is a regular bracket race weekend at the track so there will be alot of spectators and some pretty good drag racing to watch.

- We wil be sharing the track with the bracket racers, but we will have our own (Syclone and Typhoon) class. $50 per car and driver.

-Sorry but racing is limited to Syclone's and Typhoon's only.

-The gates will open at 8am, tech will start about 8:30am, test and tune at 10am.

-This is a IHRA sanctioned track so all IHRA rules apply.

-Car show, so if you don't want to race, polish up you truck and bring it to the show for $20 including admission. Those with out trucks are welcome as well. $20/Adult and $8/Youth and 6 and under are free.

-Also, the staff at Budpark is great, they delay the tree a few seconds to allow us to build boost at the starting line.

-Please reply to this thread if you are coming and whether you will be racing or not.

-We will be going for dinner and drinks after the track.

Sunday September11th @ The 100' Drags in Innisfail

Innisfail is straight south on HWY2 about 1hr25mins.
This is the largest of all the 100' drags, it's also the last one of the season so there are cars from all over.

Maybe one day we can set up something to get all the guys (and girls - can't forget about Barb's monster) over to the shop and puts some trucks on the chassis dyno and see some HP numbers. Let me know who may be interested and Nolan and I can make it happen.

Cam - Call me about this or stop by sometime.

I should be down there next month for some dyno time but I'm in for another run in September.

Speaking of which. If anyone from Washington wants to come up, I'd be more than happy to meet up and cruise there together. I'd be leaving from Abbotsford, BC (just on the other side of the Sumas, WA border) on the Thurs. night or early Fri. morning most likely.

Hey man, hows it going? One of these days we should hook up and check out your ride, I remember talking on here last year sometime when my truck was off the road.

As far as the meet goes, I'm sure you're welcome to come out if you want to make the trip. I dont think you'd be able to race at all though since I think they're only allowing the AWD trucks. You'd have to talk to Cam about that, he would obviously know more.

Your more than welcome to come out, but we're we're limiting the syty class that day to Syclone's and Typhoon's.

Didn't Nolan start out with a Sonoma that he installed a Syclone motor into?
I just don't see what the harm would be, especially if he has the brains to install it.
Not an easy job.
If he is "that good" and willing to drive to E-town..maybe we should meet him?
Just a thought.
I would let Nolan & Tony decide if it is trackworthy.
I am not trying to cause a problem, Cam, *BUT* You have to respect what he has built.
Not an easy task.
And we don't all have the money to fly to the states and drive back a mint, rare colour combo Typhoon, right? Wink,Wink!!
His heart is in the right place, so give him a chance.

Jay I've PM'd Brad to find out more info on the truck, I'm just waiting to hear back from him.

Re: 2nd Annual Canadian Syclone Typhoon Nationals

I must apologize to you Cam, I truly mean you no offense. You did an incredible job of organizing the first ever Canadian Sy/Ty event..!!!

You managed to arrange some amazing trucks that all showed up on that day.

And you are right in including "real" Sy/Ty's only... as time is tight that day and expensive, too.

However, I think you have to give him credit for what he has built, and give him a chance to run it if he actually shows up and if time is available.

Sorry, just my humble opinion.
We all love Sy/Ty's.
We all start somewhere.

Don't worry Jay, no offence taken.

I was only thinking that we're trying to showcase these pretty rare, never sold in Canada machines, that nobody knows anything about so the idea was to keep it simple and not confuse anyone, but then again does it really matter?

I agree 110% If the trucks got a sy/ty motor in it Brad has to show up and show it off.

Re: 2nd Annual Canadian Syclone Typhoon Nationals

Mark and Nolan (Cambell Automotive) are going be offering a Dyno session at a very reduced cost for fellow syty'ers, maybe we'll try to fit it in on the Sun.

If your interested in the Dyno reply to this post so we can determine if it will be worth setting up.

;) Mark, Nolan, please chime in with any additional info relating to the dyno.

Re: 2nd Annual Canadian Syclone Typhoon Nationals

If we can get 5 or 6 guys at least that want to dyno, we can set up and do it on Sunday. For the Sy Ty guys on Sunday only I will dyno your truck for $50 cash each. You can make 2-3 pulls. If you want we can also put the wideband O2 in at no extra charge. This normally costs around $150 +tax so it's a great deal if you want to find out how many mice you have turning the wheels.

Reply to this post and we can decide very soon if it will go ahead.

Re: 2nd Annual Canadian Syclone Typhoon Nationals

I wouldnt mind getting the Sy on the dyno just to see. But I cant garrantee that I'll be able to stay very long on Sunday. Robyn will most likely have to work on the Monday so we'd have to drive back Sunday. If it's in the morning Sunday, I'd prob be able to make it.
