    Josh's Syclone build thread

That sucks about your transmission. Years ago, I rebuilt the 700r4 transmission in my C4 Corvette. I took it to local old school transmission guy, I told him I wanted a basic rebuild with the upgraded clutches and I didn't want a shift kit. My Corvette was mostly stock but my friend mentions...

New to me Ty not running....

The rear vacuum port off the manifold has a T connects to the Fuel pressure regulator and MAP sensor. Since you found one problem with them, you want to get the all vacuum lines sorted out.

Most of the 20G being sold today have the 8cm2 housing.

    Precision 6466

This is an old thread, but I might was well update it. I ended using a RPM turbo oil filter kit. It dropped my PSI about 5psi at the turbo (measured with a gauge) so it is under 30psi. It fixed my extended idling issue.

    Syclone rev limiter

You would have to ask him what it is. I have never looked his program. Most of the aftermarket chips are raised from stock.

    Full frame off resto

If you are restoring a SyTy, stock trucks are worth more. I modified mine and I don't regret it, but it would be worth more if I just left it and not spent money on performance parts. One of these years, I am going to bring it back to stock.

No start after new engine install

Try checking to make sure the ECM fuses aren't blown. I can't remember if our trucks have an INJ fuse, if we have one of those check that fuse as well.

No start after new engine install

The stock injectors aren't 42#. I had some issues when getting my truck started after putting it together. I just had the timing wrong.

No start after new engine install

I think code 43 is set when the tan timing wire is disconnected.

    Cam Opinion

I have a similar cam to that in my Syclone, except with 214/214 duration instead of 218/218. Mine idles well at 700rpm and I am happy with it but I may be tempted to do with 218/218 lobes like you have. The Comp Cam 09-430-8 cam seems like NA cam.

Who made the ATR pitbull muffler?

I am pretty sure my Syclone RPM kit had a magnaflow muffler. I ended up getting a longer magna flow muffler to help kill some of the resonance.

Front Swaybar delete for drag racing

For AWD you do not want the front end to raise up. It might not be that big of deal of 12.1, but as you get faster through the 11's, traction does become more of an issue. You could add suspension limiters to help keep the front end down. My coilovers have limited travel which I think act like...

    Why no twin scrolls?

Twin scrolls are also suppose to have equal length headers and equal exhaust paths which would very difficult to do with our V6 set up. It may be worth the expense and extra work on a build with a bigger turbo that are typically require a bow tie build to take advantage of the air flow, but...

Sonoma GT Trans in a Syclone??

The governor and shift points are different from a SGT.

Sonoma GT Trans in a Syclone??

I wouldn't spend my time converting it. You have to completely disable the transmission to swap the output shafts. A SyTy trans is basically a 4x4 transmission with the Corvette upgrades (Servo, TV boost valve and few other minor changes) and a unique separator plate and governor.
