I had an aftermarket intercooler pump on my Ty, and it decided to start leaking everywhere, so I ordered a replacement. Not knowing the brand of the old one I had to just get what seemed to be the best... I ordered a Johnson CM30P7-1 from Auto Performance Engineering. It seems to be working...

I only found a little bit, maybe less than half a quart over the last 2 days. I was assuming that like most other vehicles I have owned that the water pump would be where you described it... below, and on the fron of the block. This pump resides at the top in front of the motor... not attached...

Found a little coolant on my garage floor, took it to the local shop to do a pressure test. They poked around and told me that my radiator was fine (wheeew!) but that my water pump was leaking at the seal. They go to point it out to me and it is an electric aftermarket pump... but what they...

I took her to a local garage (Goodyear shop). Yes, the problems only arose AFTER they worked on her. She ran flawlessly prior to that. Could it be just that they did not diconnect the tan line, and the computer is fighting itself to adjust the timing properly?

Thanks for the info. I'm new to the turbo thing, I'm used to V8's naturally aspirated... so what is the tan wire, and why must I tell the technician to disconnect it?

Thanks. I had considered that, but assumed that just "winging it" like that would make matters even worse. Setting the timing back 15 degrees to get back to 0 seemed like an awfully drastic move. So you would keep the stock thermo in it, keep the Pit Bull chip in it, and simply set the timing...
