I replaced the oil pressure sending unit but the guage still stops working intermittantly. The engine doesn't knock. Do these things have a problem with this guage? Or could it be a bad oil pump? I know it only takes 7 psi of pressure to keep the lifters quiet.

I have a miss at idle every now and then. just tuned it up ,new oem coil, Holley plug wires, ACDelco CR42TS plugs, oem cap & rotor. I've had this problem with gen 4 firebirds, Everyone says they all do that. So are the SyTy's the same?

thanks for the help. The problem turned out to be the fuel gauge is reading wrong. It showed better than a 1/4 tank, but realy it was empty.So I fueled up and she runs good!
