Get your wideband tied into the stock ecm, buy a 3 bar map sensor and do the research on custom tuning. (i would suggest code59). I can tell you have attention to detail needed, we just gotta get you to talk english not foreign stuff.

lol, totally! i speak better german than i do "american" ;)

i have all the ability to go code 59, or 3bar map/tune, but i would like to get the truck running correctly STOCK first. then go from there.

god only knows how long this truck drove at 20 psi with no fuel etc. so i am trying to back track all of the PO's "mods" and bring this back to a nice place mechanically.

once i get her running right, (and consistently!!!!) i will explore more power, and more options.

i do however have lowered compression, forged rods and pistons, and all ARP hardware, so when the time comes for more boost/different tuning, i should be all set ;)

are you showing this spark retard all the time , i'f so i'd bet your yor ecm is taking a crap on you. i'f it's showing while just normally driving down the road , you've got false knock issue's i.e. loose exhaust , loose something rattling around in the engine compartment .

i wasn't before, but am now. when reving the motor, in neutral, i saw 1-2 degrees of spark retard, which i never saw before.

once i bolt the IC back down, i till do a full "rattle" test to see whats going on.

you are very right tho, it could be a wrench rattling around in there :)

here is an interesting question:

if i get an O2 sensor that has 2 white wires on it, and one black, but has no "weatherpack" style plug on it, how do i know which white goes where?

does that make sense?

ok, i got my O2 back in, and she runs great. BUT..............

the fuel was still showing knock, so the first time i hit boost, i got an ESC error code (DTC #43) and from there i altered the fuel pressure, and no more timing pull!!!!!

i did however notice, that at WOT, the truck wont go past ~ 3300 rpm's. why the hell is it stuck at low revs? is it the DTC?

if i clear the code, will it let me rev to ~ 4500 or is there nothing to do together between the two?

bad knocksensor? ECM? did you set the timing?

not too sure. i did not touch the timing. it was running really rich for a but due to no O2, and as soon as i put the O2 in, i took the car out for a spin.

first time i hit boost it pulled the code. then, the light went out, and the car boosted fine, AFR's were great, and everything was cool with one exception:

i could not accelorate past ~ 3300 rpm's. it felt like it was pulling timing, but it wasn't.

not too sure what the issue is.

the truck runs fine, and is only pulling ~ 3 degrees at ~ 15 psi @ WOT and 3200 rpm's.

if the code is still there it will pull back 5 degree of timing i believe. you should post a dm file. you still have a cat? is it overboosting perhaps? so it falls flat on his face after it went over 15psi?
