Started to fab up my radio delete plate to fit the Greddy E-01 controller I have.
Got the paper template done today and decided to throw some close stock matching paint on it just to see how it looks. Suprized, it came out looking decent for just a simple paper template mockup! Now, im stuck between doing a carbon fiber plate like originally intended or painting it to look factory stock.
The exposed part of the display (the lighter silver) will be painted. If I go CF, it goes black.... if I go factory color, it will go the same.
Probably going to set up tonight to make the real final plate.
What do you guys think? Factory color or CF?
Template is based off the OEM GM factory delete plate. The template above was Version 1. The pics below are version 2. I centered up the display, made the window larger to show the beveled display edges and have a much cleaner look with better fitment, and made the infrared window smaller since it doesnt need to be as big as it is on the actual controller after taking it apart and looking at it.

finally done. still need to hook it all up, but this was the PITA part. I went with CF over the stock color. Looks good...if I get tired of it, I can always paint the part. I may eventually make another version in the future that removes the cig lighter section since I dont smoke and it never gets used.
I'll do a seperate project thread later on...

I got it off ebay in a misspelled auction. It only works on a Data911 conputer due to it being a one resolution screen. But it rocks! They use these screens in cop cars all day long!
