Rear Coil Setup (turbotime) ---

pppssssshhhhhtttttttttttt
A few months ago I was pointed in the direction of Turbo Time for a rear coil suspension setup with QA1s. I have been saving, and finally have the extra money .... but now Turbo Time doesnt have a "list of parts" on their site.

I will be using battlebars, and a rear addco sway bar to complete the rear end. Do I still need lowering belltech leaf springs?

Who is selling this setup now?! Thanks ---

E-Rue is still selling parts, he is pretty busy getting ready for a new born child and making changes to his business. No you don't need Bell Tech lowering spring to use them.

Does anyone have any pics of this setup installed on a typhoon?

Anyone know the cost? Thank you!

It was little over $500. E-Rue developed it for Typhoons, to elimanted the bottoming out problem Typhoon's have when they are lowered.

Re: Rear Coil Setup (turbotime) ---

So a pm to Erue is needed? I want to use lowering springs , because my front suspension will be RPM coilovers ( I want it to be dropped evenly ) ---

I have them isntall with my Belltech Lower Springs (removed over load spring as well). I can't give you any ride feedback because I haven't driven my Sy since I install them.

Re: Rear Coil Setup (turbotime) ---

anyone wanna send me their pair, iwill try oout on my Typhoon and give ya feedback :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

I am still using the Bilstein and sold my reg QA1 because the ride was awful but better with the Bilstein but it really is too low for the factory bilstein shock.

I gotta do some research to find out what spring will work best once bel-tech lowering springs, Atr Swaybar, of course i have coilover and tublar a-arms up front too.

I got an email back pretty quickly from Jax. She sent me all the info and the pics I had requested.

Unfortunately I want something that would eliminate the old school technology of the leaf springs and this kit retains them.

Nice looking kit and a decent price though!

Yeah this rear coilover setup is a supplement to the stock leaf springs.

You are thinking of a 4 link or ladder bar coilover setup like the PEP or Dustan setup.

Exaclty, but i don't think either of those two are viable options either though correct?

The cost of something new would be through the roof.

Oh well, it may be old school but the leaf spring/cal trac is also proven to work.

Jax got back to me quickly too. I guess I just want the adjustable height , so my truck doesnt just sit so low in the front with the RPM kit . I will put my order in soon ---

Re: Rear Coil Setup (turbotime) ---

this setup is intended for a dropped suspension. it would require a slightly different shock if you intend to use it at full ride height. and we can provide that if its needed, but what we have works great at 1-3" drop and also greatly helps the handling while im proving ride quality.

So would stock springs and a 2" drop block work along with a belltech sway bar?

The Belltech Sway bar is not going to cause any interference. It goes forward and comes nowhere close to stock shock location. I went out to garage, and lowering blocks won't make a difference either. I actually think E-Rue original test set up was a Typhoon with lowering blocks.
