alky control kit installed but pump doesnt work

like the name says i installed my alky control kit exactly how it said wire for wire ( mind you pump is in a different location but wiring hasnt changed ... andddd the pump doesnt come on at all


anyone have any insite on this .... checked all the wiring 3 times still doesnt come on even with the test button nothing the LED lights up red but no pump and driving the led lights up red but no pump no green light ( which means no pressure) ....

Update... well the pump works fine if i jump it seems like the controler isnt sending a signal to the pump to activate it power is there just no ground signal.... hmmm

Check your wiring and make sure that you have a 12v power scorce to the switch. Is it a snow system. If so the wiring diagram is sure to catch you without a 12v PS.

you have a problem in your wiring somewhere. I've done a lot of these kits and never have any typ eof an issue with his tuff. you have good grounds? where did you get the power for the system? where did you run the green trigger on the map sensor? did you use 2 or 3 bar and did he set it up for that?

i got the kit off of nolan and it was sent from alky control i did as was instruscted and powered it off the IGN terminals on the fuze panel and the green wire runs to the center wire on the map and its a 3 bar ( waller the TEST button doesnt even turn the pump on it just lights up the LED red ... the pump isnt coming on at all everything else is powered upa and comes on fine ...

I wouldn't power an alky kit off the IGN terminal at the fuse panel. Numerous posts here talk about datamaster/ALDL glitches under that scenario. Better to use a relay fused off the alternator, with the relay only activated by the IGN (not powered by it). I can't imagine that Alkycontrol's instructions wouldn't have mentioned this though...?

the ign is just to turn the relay on it is on a relay i wouldnt use it as direct ppower

the fuse in the relay isn't burnt? have you put a DVM on it to see if you are getting voltae anywhere on the pump side?

voltage is good at hte pump hte controler grounds the pump to turn it on there is no ground signal coming from the controler


there are 4 wires on the pump there is one ground which is for the pressure Signal LED...

THen there is a 3 prong plug one black goes to controler which is the trigger wire from the controler one red which is IGN 12 v from the controler and one bare wire which si the pressure referance wire

sounds all good to me. a quick call to julio and your problems will be solved in 10minutes. he will be more than happy to help you resolve your issue with his product. he more than anyone would understand whats going on and if there is a problem he will fix it for you.

ya he is on vacation untill the 4th though so i am at a stand still untill then
