Well, since I couldn't go to Homecoming, I needed a car fix so decided to go to our local car show... about 60 cars from a 3-state area....

I somehow ended up getting a trophy for one of the "Top 10" ...I didn't even know I was entered

It's a crappy picture but you get the idea :D

trophies are for bowlers, congrats, but I always hated trophy's for car shows. Cash is always a better prize.

Congrats man, What other rides were there?

Some pretty nice stuff... '30's Chevys and Fords with 502's, 572's, etc. (mild pro street stuff), a really nice '56 Vette, Mustangs, '70's and '80's Chevy pickups, Harley dealer with a 30 foot trailer full of antique Harleys, Studebaker, '63 Falcon convertible with a '302 and 4-speed (really nice), 1st gen S-10 pickup with a GN motor, Chevy II's, a '67 Mustang T-5 Fastback (one of 154 that were shipped to Europe - called the T5 over there), Impalas, a few nice Mopars.... and some more I can't remember

Now that were talking about car shows I have to get to one. There are several around me and I have not been to a single one this year. There are always nice cars and trucks there. I almost have my truck done so maybe I will take that when I go. After all the time and money I have into mine I hope I win something.

Congrats...and is that a pit in your garage floor?

Yup, that's our 'fraidy hole' for tornadoes.... just happens to make a great pit for working on the underside of the Sy!

Congrats, it always feels good knowing you were in the top cars/trucks. BTW, your suspension looks good in the back. Maybe I could get some pointers/tips from you.

Congratulations on your trophy! Hey in case you haven't heard yet, our NC group is having another meet at Richard Clark's in October(date not set yet). Dennis Kirban & a whole slew of turboBuick tech people will be there. Going to be huge event!

Thanks R&C... nothing too out of the ordinary with the rear suspension... the Sy did go through a frame-off so everything is painted, plated,or coated. The only mods on the rear right now are the Battlebars (they look cool from the rear), and the Belltech swaybar from the GP here. I'll probably put a girdle-type cover on the rearend - wanna do discs in back someday but will need new rims/tires first!
