wtb steering column asap

as some of u guys know my truck was stolen and recovered recently and this is the piece that is pretty much holding me up when it comes to driving it. also do the locks for the factory caps fit all the sy/ty's or not bc if they do i need one if someone is willing to sell or inform me whether they r universal. thanx everyone for the help and support

Have you tried any local boneyards yet? I'm sure they are readily available. You would want one from any first gen S-10 with a stick shift. It sucks too cause I just gave one away a couple months ago that was sitting in my garage forever.

aww damn it that sucks. i have a 93 sonoma and 89 cameo and both of them dont have the key lock on the column like the ty does!! so do the stick 1st gen sticks have them for some reason?? i dunno have to check that out i guess unless someone knows

You may be right about the key lock being SyTy specific, I honestly don't know. But do you need it anyways? (personally I think its a pain in the ass having it) And the reason you would want one from a stick is because an automatic one would have the shifter arm on the column itself. Granted you could always pop that pin out and remove the arm anyways but you would still have that "nub" on there from it.

Yeah i no about the column shifter bc both of mine have them. I will check out the bone yard tom. to see if they have key locks. The main reason would be to keep stock/original look for shows but if i cant get one then i dont care i will take anything that doesnt have a column shifter and works.
