Question about my datamaster file

Well I just bought myself a typhoon. Love the truck, picked up a laptop and datamaster to check out if anythign was wrong. The max boost Im seeing is 11.4psi which was just once. Most of the time I am around 8-9psi. I have 0 degrees spark retard all the time. The knock count is insanely high at 744 and this number never changes.

Is there something wrong with my settings as far as the knock count and spark retard go? The boost could possibly be a wastegate solenoid? Just lookin for a little insight.

Also forgot to mention, truck is stock minus a 3" muffler. Ive got cap, rotor, wires and plus ready to go in this weekend. Just want to get datamaster workin the way it should asap to help me later down the road.

The knock count is an artificial artifact caused by a revision change in DM .. any version of DM higher than 3.4.1 shows this false count (according to Tooky read here....http://www.powertuneplus.com/syclone/tunersguide_dm.shtm). I've found that the difference between what it 'normally' sits at compared to the count when KR is encountered is the number that matters.

Use the search button and you'll be able to find about 2 hours worth of reading regarding boost issues... start with making sure all of your vac lines are in good shape.

Check your rubber hose that goes from turbo to intercooler for small tears. Im running trew the process of getting my stock Sy running right as well. I found lots of little things wrong and it runs much better now. Factory boost selinoid goes bad as well. Remove the boost hose from the truck an inspect it. Mine looked fine untill i removed it and look closely. Vacume leaks are common as well. Surging in boost pressure is a good indication of a leak. turbo sounds funny too as it spins much faster than normal to try to make up for leaky system.

I agree check for any vacuum leaks with in the turbo to ic hose and the silicone coupler that connects the ic to intake manifold.. also check all your vacuum lines as this will cause allot of head aches and base boost I think is 8psi if you unplug your boost solenoid so you have an issue somewhere.

You have to worry about Spark Retard as that's detonation
